There are some fine fonts recorded to the West of the county in Dereham, Fakenham and Walsoken. Norwich is celebrated as the birthplace of Betsy Fry, prison reformist and artists John Crome and JS Cotman. Whilst the North Sea heralds the renowned Yarmouth kipper, The Wash is remarkable as the location where King John once lost his crown. Look out for a recipe for Norfolk dumplings, available either sweet or savoury.

Publication Essentials
Poster-sized and litho printed on quality card in numbered limited editions, this is one in a series of pre-1974 county area Maps. Designed for framing and to stimulate conversation, JL Carr created the Maps as a way to present an optimistic set of testimonials to our indigenous, daring and buoyant forbears and to hearten those Englishmen who hope for a rekindling of the spirit which has enlivened our nation through its chequered history. These architectural, historical, literary and pictorial curiosities are not to be used for navigation; except in the broadest of terms.Map Details
