Edward Thomas was born in 1878, he went to Oxford and was a seasoned writer by the time of the First World War; becoming a well-known critic, reviewer and biographer. His poetry recounts nature, rural England and themes of solitude. He enlisted in 1915 and was killed at Arras in 1917.
This Pocket Book contains a very short extract from Thomas' book The Icknield Way and 14 poems including Adelstrop, But These Things Also and Rain.
