"The warmest of welcomes for a delightful book" - Wisden

Wisden Cricketer's Almanack may be the compendious bible of cricket, but it has no place for Horace, the Trent Bridge groundsman's house of the 1890's who, whenever he saw the Notts last man emerging from the pavilion, sidled unobtrusively towards the roller.

This omission, and others, are rectified between the covers of this small book, which also commemorates some 200 other cricketers across the ages.  Still published by the Quince Tree Press as a pocket book, this edition is introduced by Matthew Engel, editor of Wisden, and illustrated throughout with JL Carr's own drawings.  There has never been another cricket book like it.
